Highwater Farm fell into disrepair a few years ago, but it has, since 2020, been turned into a modern, sustainable, working farm by Eli Low and his family. Highwater Farm is now home to a number of rare species of livestock, including cows and turkeys, as well as large numbers of sheep, chickens and donkeys.

The site also hosts educational and leisure visits from children and adults – principally in the Jewish community – to help them connect with the land in line with Jewish tradition, as well as to experience a rural farmstead – something many have never been able to do.
In line with our aims to build a modern, sustainable working farm, we have recently increased work on site – and are keen to talk through what we have planned. This recent activity includes maintenance works, but we have also recently submitted an application for a small number of eco-lodges, tucked away in a remote area of woodland at the northern extremity of the farm. These will be simple, low-impact structures to be used for outdoor educational purposes.
